Secure Bank Connection Disclosure
SHBA Capital may use Plaid to help clients securely provide bank statement-related information for business-purpose review. This page explains, in plain English, how that connection works and how related information may be handled after it is received.
What Plaid Is
Plaid is a financial connectivity provider that allows clients to connect eligible bank accounts through Plaid’s own secure interface. When SHBA Capital offers a Plaid connection, the goal is to help collect recent business bank statement information more securely and efficiently than email or unsecured file sharing.
How the Secure Connection Works
When you choose to continue, you are directed into Plaid’s hosted connection flow. SHBA Capital does not ask you to send bank usernames or passwords directly to us. Plaid handles the credential entry step inside its own connection experience.
After a successful connection, SHBA Capital may receive available bank statement files and limited related connection details needed to identify and review the materials that were provided.
What Information May Be Accessed
Depending on the institution and what is available through the Plaid workflow, SHBA Capital may receive statement PDFs and related information such as institution name, linked account identifiers or masks, statement dates, and document-related processing metadata.
The information requested through this flow is intended for statement collection and review. It is not a request for casual or open-ended access beyond the bank statement-related workflow being presented to you.
What SHBA Does and Does Not Store
SHBA Capital does not collect your online banking username or password directly through this page.
If statements are successfully retrieved, SHBA Capital may store statement files and related records securely after receipt. That can include items such as institution name, limited account and statement metadata, secure storage references, and controlled access records tied to the document-handling process.
How the Information Is Used
Information received through this workflow may be used for internal review, underwriting support, evaluation of a business financing request, fraud prevention, recordkeeping, and related operational or compliance needs.
This page is not itself a financing application. It is a standalone bank statement collection path for clients who have already been directed to provide statements securely.
Security and Data Protection
SHBA Capital uses controlled internal workflows for sensitive financial documents and limits access to authorized personnel with a legitimate business need. Where secure document access is used, access may be limited through time-bounded or otherwise controlled links rather than open public file exposure.
No system can promise absolute security, but SHBA Capital uses administrative, technical, and operational safeguards designed to protect confidential business information appropriately.
